Ninety percent of the Lighthouse model was manufactured using 3D
CAD-CAM system straight from a disk. Over 300,000 entities were
processed to produce even the cracks on the brick course.
The
model is entirely made of acrylic and styrene. It employs internal
illumination and an infrared remote controlled in-out mechanism to
detach the new design from the existing building to reveal the
internal design layout.
