The Great Hall Model is a fine example of traditional
craftsmanship. It is entirely made of timber using only chisels
and scalpels, except for the roof trusses which were cut on the
CAD-CAM system and assembled by hand.
Obechi is used for
the main structure and the roofs are veneered over with eucalyptus
for additional texture. The roof trusses are made of beech wood.
The model is illuminated internally and externally by a fibre optic
lighting system.
